What a great chat with
yesterday! We got so carried away talking about everything—from childhood curiosity to writing our books—that we completely forgot to draw together.Until the last five minutes, that is, when we did a quick speed-draw from a reference photo of a spot out on Long Island. It’s a road that leads to a bay beach I often run along, and the light was so beautiful I had to snap a few photos.
Here’s the final page in my sketchbook and the reference photo if you want to have a go at painting it yourself—you can see me do the initial sketch and add a bit of ink right at the end of the video.
