Thank you to everyone who joined me for my spontaneous live today! While my husband and younger son are working on a project outside, I’m keeping busy with some creative projects of my own indoors. I’ve set up at the old barn table with my paints and all the supplies I have out here. It’s sunny and windy on Long Island—beautiful, but not exactly ideal for painting outside.

Come visit me and Theo next weekend at DUMBO Open Studios!
Yesterdays project: I made my boys into small paper dolls, along with some basic “starter pack” accessories. Here is a video that shares the process:
And today I am painting in my sketchbook. Here is the finished painting I worked on in the live video above:
Supplies used:
• Derwent Inktense Paints, 24 set palette
• Caran D’Ache NeoArt wax oil pastels (resistant to water) and Neocolor II pastels (watersoluble)
• Forest Black Platinum ink (that is not as waterproof as I thought it would be)
Note that I referred to this as “carbon” ink but I meant to say the brand “Platinum”.
• Faber Castell Pitt graphite pencil in 14B
Happy end of Passover and Easter to all those who celebrate.
Thank you
