this is so exciting & well-deserved, sam! i’m fairly new to your work, but your authenticity & humility shine through everything you do. it’s so refreshing! congratulations✨
congratulations! What an elegant work for a retail window that I hope with be there for a long time. Watching you do just the few lines in the video filled me with awe. I simply can't do that. You make it look so easy. And I've tried painting of drawing many times before and always end up with slosh. Also, I love your sketch diary with each page filled with just the right amount of information to show your environment and activities.
Thank you, it was fun to work with Ian. He is just learning some of the software but did a great job! I think Haley's post speaks to all of us creatives! I rarely find another artist who loves to sell themselves and their work.
You should try the pen. I genuinely really love mine!
Hi, no you can use other pens/pencils. This one is very easy, as you don’t have to pair it with Bluetooth. I really like holding it, and how the tip feels on the iPad screen. The down side is that because it doesn’t officially connect, sometimes your hand or wrist can make marks. I’m not sure what this is called but it’s something to do with recognizing the tip only. Hope that makes sense!
Hi, is this for the Derwent class? I am so sorry but if you are outside of US and Canada they limit access for security reasons. Such a bummer. If you have an VPN you can work around. Otherwise I will share recording a few days after the live.

Thanks, Elly. It's been weirdly busy, but I hate marketing, so I put it all in one email. Next post will be more my speed!

Thank you so much, Sue. It really is due to so many years of practice. The confidence comes in time.
So many exciting things! I love the video collaboration with your son! (And am intrigued by the digital pen) I too felt Haley's post in my gut.

Regarding the pen: it looks like you’re using it with Procreate on an iPad. That works? I thought I had to use an Apple Pencil!

This is great to learn! Thank you so much!
It's been an odd summer in that it has felt rushed and fast! How is it almost over? I think many of us are in the same place.
Deep breaths and here's to a lot of it being fun! (I'm setting up a new art journal this week to get back to it!)
Unfortunately, I get a message "access denied. you are forbidden..." when I click on the link...
