I LOVE all of your work and thank you for sharing your creative evolution with us! Sometimes I think I'm the only one with artistic angst (I know, totally irrational); it's just good to hear from others creating such beauty.
This was interesting to hear from your perspective, and I love all of they styles personally, but it's helpful to know even established, professional artists need to pivot and change!
I really appreciate this post. It is so tempting to try to fit what others want, just to find success, but in the end it isn't really success if you hate what you were "molded" to be. Thank you for sharing your stages of artistry. I loved it all, but I'm really loving where you are now.
Thank you for writing about your change in style, focus, and motivation over the years. It’s encouraging to hear that professional artists go through changes and want to move beyond what they’re known for on social media. Good for you for continuously expanding your vision and creating art in a way that brings you the most joy! We are all cheering you on. ❤️
Interesting to hear your journey of evolving your style and removing layers to reach your own happy place with your art, Samantha. I'd like to enrol in your free 'Painting Woodgrain' but can't get past the 'insert valid phone number' field. I don't live in the US so any number I put in won't work. Is there a way to still get the link to this class?
I mentioned to you several weeks ago that I still hoped to do at least one of the challenges from your 7-day challenge. Due to health issues, I've been slow, but HAVE been working bit-by-bit. I wrote to an IG friend just this morning that in doing this I feel I'm moving a bit away from my ingrained concept of a standard "I" must do. I am feeling a *little* looser and not embarassed by my work entebbe though my brain might tell me it's a mess.
I enjoyed your post and the phases you went through, phases similar to many artists. Your last photos of the chicken and rope was very pleasing to look at with the nice compositions, the words and the colors used. I enjoy seeing all of the art whether it is refined or not.
What Page Evers said, below! Enjoyed this piece very much!
Thank you for sharing what the journey has been and where it’s going. Life is fascinating.

I love the quotes in those pages, and also everything you said. ❤️
