Sam, you outdid yourself in describing your process for these two sketchbook pages. I loved everything about this post and it made me want to run to my sketchbook and do something similar describing my days. Thank you as always.

Samantha, I love this idea of a watercolor sketchbook too. Would like to pick up my watercolor sketchbook again.

I will sign up for the December 11 class but also I have a question… missed the gourds and pumpkins class, looked for the replay on Michael’s website but couldn't find it. Neither could support. I was hoping use that class to start my watercolor sketchbook.

Do you have a link to that class, I was looking forward to it?

Thank you.

I love autumn and the colours you used, and was inspired to look back at some of my photos during autumn to see what colours I could create with my paints.

Unfortunately I won’t make your next meetup, but look forward to the recording.

Your sketchbook pages are very lovely. I really liked how you discussed the steps that you went through to finally decide on the content of the two different pages. It was nice to be able to follow the two different processes you used to complete each painting. Plus, it was interesting to see how you used different art tools to express the feeling that was expressed on each page. I liked that you talked and showed your color palette. I’ve been working ( and researching)on color theory a lot to make my drawings better.

My multiMedia docu lens stumbled into ‘Photo Mapping’ & that begat finding ‘Framing’.. which..

Well.. I can no more ‘sketch or frame or paint or illustrate… than I can play ‘violin’

But here I is revelling in how such Talents I find here.. can inspire me with a paint smudge

or creating at sketchbook spread.. haha ! These peeps speak ‘palette!’ - now we talkin ! 🦎🏴‍☠️

fyi - later today i ‘spotlight’ Marc Davenant & in the sense of Hemingway’s ‘Moveable Feast’ it’s my perception that Marc has created an Exemplary Model for Artists.. via his ‘Moveable Gallery

THE OUTSIDERS is a remarkable endeavour I’ve been tracking for years..
