I just read your newsletter. You’re writing a new book! I’m so proud of you! Very soon I’m going to have to give you your very own shelf in our library to hold all of your books. You are AMAZING! I can’t wait to read it!
Good luck, Samantha! I've been writing weekly, coincidentally after our meet up so many months ago, and it's been extremely fulfilling and a good challenge. I can't wait to see what you create. We (your subscribers) have your back!
Congratulations on your decision to write a new book, I’m excited for you and looking forward to reading it.
Drawing books is a great prompt, and as they’re piled in various places and filling a couple of book shelves in my home, I think I’ll be able to fill a few pages.
Hi, Samantha! I am loving the DYW prompt challenge and learning so much. Thank you. I wanted to share with you my absolute favorite book about writing, Anne Lamott's Bird by Bird: Some Instructions on Writing and Life. Among other charms, it will make you laugh out loud and be more ready to meet all challenges, not just writing ones. I think of it a lot as I discover drawing and painting after a lifetime of writing and reading.
My agent came to me, so I cant offer too much advice on how to approach them from the author/artist side. I assume the best way is to have a solid book proposal/idea and then send it to different agents.
This is so exciting - a new book - your books are the only 2 I have sitting next to my couch where I draw every evening. I only wish I could learn how to draw the dogs you draw because I sit with my 3 pups at night and sketch them a million times and they always come out looking a little crazy. I will keep practicing - but would love a whole book from you with details about all of your neighborhood dog drawings:)
Can't wait to read the new book and watch your cloud skillshare class.
Diane, this is such a nice and encouraging comment, thank you. Keep practicing drawing your dogs. You will get better each time and also develop your personal style so that you feel more confident.
So excited to know that you're writing a new book. I have all three and use them as I previously used World Book encyclopedias! What a treasure you are. Thank you in advance. Best wishes and BIG LOVE!

That’s great! I’m glad you’re inspired to draw some of the books around you, Karen. I will add this to my list of prompts to work on.
Fantastic. Yay for another book!
Yes! Thank you!

Hello! I would like to ask you how do you get a literary agent?
My agent came to me, so I cant offer too much advice on how to approach them from the author/artist side. I assume the best way is to have a solid book proposal/idea and then send it to different agents.
Thanks for the Canvas discount code! Just ordered one.
Hi Amy, oh I am so glad!! You will love it.
I’m excited for you and know it will be worth the struggle of writing. And be a great new book!
Thanks, Jennifer!
