When i watch these meetups live i realize it doesn't take hours to make art. Look what you done in 30 minutes. I need to loosen up like this. I make it a big project
How lovely :) I got back from my walk and I was able to sit and watch this and listen as a 'catch up' while I worked on the sketches I had taken on my walk in the sunny English country side - warm enough for 'no coat' and dry enough to sit on the grass to sketch :). Thank you :)
Thanks, Laura. It is pretty simple in a way. I discovered a while back that painting water isn't as hard as it seems. And converting images to black and white really helps break it down.

This is faster than typical for me, but I need to loosen up myself so was a very good exercise in letting go and being freer about it!
The puddle!
I love puddles!
Good morning
Morning, Nancy!

So lovely, I can picture you sketching in the grass.
Great video, Sam, it’s fascinating to see how the white area progressively reads as a puddle.

Thank you, I enjoyed watching your paint.
You’re welcome! Glad you enjoyed ☺️
I like when you talk as you work. It really helps with the idea of what's going on your mind as your painting.
What do you use for your book covers on you sketchbook?
Nancy it’s all in a post that shares my whole sketchbook-making process!
Samantha where can I find that post?
I loved watching you sketch this scene!
