Layered bathroom objects, created during the weekend workshop I just co-taught with Ohn Mar Win.

The prompts I provide to paid subscribers are meant to be referenced whenever a push or new inspiration is needed. There are no rules or guidelines for how to use these prompts.

This past weekend I taught a two-day workshop with Ohn Mar Win, and we focused on simple subjects found in our homes. On Friday the session was all about painting things from our kitchens, and Saturday we chose things from our bathrooms. I tried to stress a few simple ideas in my lessons. The first was to use the edge of your page in your composition, having things fall right off the sides, and the second was to lay your subjects on top of each other. The layering seemed to generate many aha moments for attendees, so I thought I would make this the subject of today’s prompt.
