Winter Landscapes in Collage & Mixed Media
Friday, November 15th, 9 - 11:15am EST
I’m excited to announce a new online workshop I’m hosting with my friend Ohn Mar Win. We’ll be sharing our techniques for creating winter landscapes with collage, watercolor, and pens. This unique session brings together two different perspectives: I pull from the rich, urban textures of Brooklyn, New York, while Ohn Mar draws inspiration from the gentle, organic landscapes of Cheshire, UK. We’d love to have you join us and explore winter landscapes through mixed media. The workshop will run for two hours and fifteen minutes and this is a pay what you can event - input the amount you wish to pay under ‘Donations’.
The session will be recorded and will be available to watch within 24-48 hours after the event.
Please make sure you take a note of email you use to sign up with - notifications, reference images and recording links will be sent via Eventbrite.
Note: Paid subscribers do not have to register - you will be sent the link to join separately, along with reference images.
All of the information and link to register can be found here.
As we head into an unpredictable week here in the US, I’m reminding myself—and all of you—to take some time each day away from phones and the news. Decompress and unwind by scribbling, drawing, or writing. There’s no single way to capture your world; in my own sketchbooks, you’ll find a wide range of play and expression. Here are just a few examples.
The November Draw Your World Challenge Begins on the 6th!
I’m thrilled to share the details of our next challenge! The giveaways will be fantastic, with supplies from Caran D’Ache, Blackwing, and Derwent, plus a handmade sketchbook crafted by me. Full details on how to join are available below the paywall. To my non-paying subscribers, I also offer free classes, like this one here, and if you are a member of Skillshare, you can find a bunch of my classes there as well. That said, I do hope you join the smaller community here on Substack! You are welcome anytime.
